National Account Executive

Purpose of the role:

The position is to support in a range of field and client related activities working with major retailers and brands. The successful candidate will be expected to attend Head Office and Client meeting numerous times a week with an ambition of moving to larger commercial roles in National Accounts.

The successful candidate will be required to manage and develop relationships with our existing and potential customers, enabling Dee Set to meet its current growth targets.  You will be required to develop a network of contacts throughout the retail industry; you will also be developing working relationships with every customer that allows Dee Set access to key contracts

You will manage each individual activity ensuring customers' key KPIs are communicated, understood and executed by all areas of Dee Set. Clearly communicating to the customer the difference made by Dee Set to an activity by understanding the detail of our business and how that drives our ROI model.

Role and Responsibilities:

The role will require involvement in all aspects of the Account Management role, to enable a high degree of support to the Account Team and to provide the job holder with valuable development and progression opportunities within Client Management activity.

  • Support the Senior National Account Manager
  • Manage a portfolio of clients delivering revenue targets and growing profit in line with business expectations
  • Write and present reports to clients in association with the Account Team.
  • Prepare field communication documents
  • Deal with day to day issues from the field that are client related
  • Communicate directly with the client on KPI performance.
  • Support client planning process, when required and attend client briefings
  • Be able to think strategically to develop the customer journey
  • Assist with and focus on onboarding of new customers
  • Network effectively within customers ensuring the Dee Set brand is known across all brands and divisions
  • Proactively update Customer Contact database with all existing and new contacts
  • Deliver all internal paperwork and policies and procedures to agreed deadlines and standards
  • Utilize senior contacts to gain traction/momentum
  • Build and forecast future revenue by customer in line with channel plan
  • Work closely with other departments developing strong relationships that create effective Ways-Of-Working

Skills/ Experience Required:

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Organisational and Time Management skills
  • Able to work well under pressure and to strict deadlines
  • IT skills – Excel / PowerPoint

Ideally suited for candidates wanting to develop into commercial roles with varied customers and broader responsibilities.

Must be self-motivated, confident and able to multitask and manage change and a lot of activity at one time.

What's On Offer:

  • Salary: £26,000 based on full time 37.5hrs- Pro Rata Salary £16640.00
  • Fixed Term Contract
  • 24 Hours a week across 3 days Wednesday, Thursday & Friday on shift pattern of 8am-4pm or 9am-5pm
  • Role is based in our Head Office in Stoke-On-Trent - Minimum 2 days in Head Office
