Junior Housekeeper – HNW Private Household, Chelsea (Live-Out, ASAP Start) A Chelsea-based HNW family is seeking a Junior Housekeeper to join their established household team of three housekeepers, reporting to the House Manager. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a background in hotels, hospitality, chalets, or villa environments who is looking to transition into a long-term career within a private household setting as part of a professional and supportive team. The role would suit someone eager to build experience in a high-standard private environment, develop their skillset, and grow within an established household structure. Key Responsibilities:
Assisting with comprehensive housekeeping and daily upkeep of a large private residence
Supporting deep cleaning and maintaining high presentation standards throughout the property
Care of furnishings, surfaces, and specialist materials under guidance of senior team members
Laundry, ironing, wardrobe organisation, and seasonal rotation support
Assisting with basic kitchen upkeep and light snack preparation when principals are in residence
Supporting stock control, replenishment of supplies, and household errands
Assisting with guest readiness, greeting visitors, and general household support duties
Occasional support with flower arrangements and light household presentation tasks
Requirements:
Experience in hotel, hospitality, chalet, villa, or similar service environments (private household experience welcome but not essential)
Keen interest in developing a long-term career within the private household sector
Discreet, reliable, and professional with strong attention to detail
Positive attitude with willingness to learn and take direction
Flexible, proactive, and a strong team player within an established housekeeping team
Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and senior staff
Willingness to undertake a variety of household tasks as required by the House Manager, Principals, or PA
The family resides in the UK periodically; the role is more demanding during residence and lighter in their absence, offering good structure and work-life balance. Hours: Monday-Friday, 9:00am-5:00pm, with some flexibility REF: LC161734
