Audit RI Partner

Insite Public Practice Recruitment Limited

Audit RI Partner

Oxford | Hybrid working available
£120,000 - £180,000 + Equity Potential + Route to Board-Level Influence

There are firms that talk about growth, and then there are businesses genuinely reshaping the market through acquisition, investment, and ambitious leadership. This opportunity sits firmly in the latter camp. Private equity money meeting professional services ambition. A combination that either creates a powerhouse or several hundred LinkedIn posts about "transformational journeys".
A rapidly expanding practice is looking to appoint an Audit RI Partner as part of its continued growth strategy. Backed by significant investment and growing quickly through acquisition, the firm is building towards becoming a Top 20 challenger within the next 12 months.
This is not a role where you'll inherit a static portfolio and spend years waiting for movement. The business is actively evolving, creating genuine opportunities for progression, influence, and long-term leadership involvement. The successful Audit RI Partner will play a visible role in shaping the direction of the audit function during a particularly exciting period of expansion.
Based in Oxford with hybrid flexibility, the role offers a blend of strategic leadership, client engagement, and operational influence within a highly acquisitive environment.

The role

You'll take responsibility for audit quality, portfolio leadership, and regulatory oversight while helping integrate newly acquired businesses into the wider group structure. Alongside leading complex client relationships, you'll work closely with senior leadership on growth strategy, operational development, and team expansion.
The business is open to individuals who already hold RI status, as well as experienced senior audit professionals who are close to obtaining it and looking for a platform that can accelerate the next stage of their career.

What you'll be doing
  • Acting as Responsible Individual across a varied audit client portfolio
  • Leading and developing audit teams through a period of sustained growth and acquisition activity
  • Supporting the integration and standardisation of newly acquired firms
  • Building long-term relationships with entrepreneurial and mid-market clients
  • Working closely with senior leadership on strategic growth initiatives
  • Driving audit quality, compliance, and best practice across the wider business
  • Supporting the development of future leaders within the team
  • Contributing to business development activity and market positioning within the accountancy sector
What we're looking for
  • Strong external audit experience gained within a practice environment
  • Existing RI status or demonstrably close to obtaining it
  • Commercial mindset with the ability to balance technical quality and client delivery
  • Comfortable operating within a fast-moving, acquisitive business environment
  • Strong people leadership and stakeholder management skills
  • ACA or equivalent professional qualification
  • Ambition to progress within a growing leadership structure rather than remain static
What's on offer
  • Salary package between £120,000 and £180,000 depending on experience and RI status
  • Equity potential and long-term progression opportunities
  • Hybrid working and flexibility around office time in Oxford
  • Genuine opportunity to influence the direction of a rapidly expanding audit function
  • Exposure to complex, high-value client work within a growth-focused environment
  • Clear route towards senior leadership and broader operational responsibility
  • Backing from a well-funded and ambitious accountancy group with aggressive expansion plans

This opportunity would suit an ambitious Audit RI Partner looking for a platform with genuine momentum, fast-track progression, and the chance to play a key role in the continued evolution of a modern accountancy business.
