Location: Harrow College

Start Date: September

Pay Rate: £16.64 per hour

Harrow College is seeking a committed and supportive Learning Support Assistant to join its student support team from September.

This role is central to supporting learners with additional needs to succeed within a further education environment. Working closely with teaching staff and support services, the Learning Support Assistant will help deliver inclusive, learner-focused support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide in-class and one-to-one support for students with additional learning needs, including SEND
  • Enable learners to access the curriculum and develop independence and confidence
  • Support students’ educational, social, and personal development
  • Work collaboratively with lecturers, support staff, and external agencies
  • Assist with the monitoring and recording of learner progress and support plans
  • Promote safeguarding, equality, and inclusion at all times
What We’re Looking For
  • Previous experience supporting learners in an educational or support setting (desirable)
  • A patient, empathetic, and reliable approach
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Commitment to inclusive practice and safeguarding
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries
