Hays Education is seeking an experienced and compassionate SEND Teacher to work within a highly regarded specialist provision supporting pupils with Autism Spectrum Disorder and complex learning difficulties.

Your new role

This provision supports children and young people with significant communication needs, sensory processing differences, and a wide range of cognitive profiles. You will play a key role in delivering personalised, structured and nurturing learning experiences that help pupils progress both academically and emotionally.

What you'll be doing

• Delivering differentiated lessons aligned with EHCP outcomes
• Supporting pupils with ASD, sensory needs, communication differences and SEMH challenges
• Working closely with skilled support staff, therapists and senior leaders
• Creating a calm, safe and predictable classroom environment
• Building strong, trusting relationships with pupils who rely on stability and clear communication

What you'll need to succeed

• QTS/QTLS with experience in specialist SEND settings
• Strong understanding of ASD, sensory needs and communication-support strategies
• Ability to adapt teaching to a wide range of abilities and learning styles
• A patient, resilient and empathetic approach
• Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
