Service Manager

Salary: £38,000 – £44,000

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Service / Maintenance Operations Manager to lead and develop a growing service and installation function within a well-established organisation. This role will focus on driving profitable service and maintenance sales, while building and managing a strong nationwide subcontractor network. This is a fantastic opportunity for a commercially minded professional who enjoys both strategic growth and hands-on operational delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Drive the growth of profitable service and maintenance contracts with key customers
• Work closely with the UK Sales team to increase service and aftersales revenue
• Develop and manage a UK-wide network of subcontractors for service, maintenance, and installation activities
• Oversee subcontractor performance, including training and compliance requirements
• Conduct site surveys and specify installation requirements
• Manage project delivery for rollout programmes requiring installation
• Negotiate pricing and liaise with internal sales teams
• Produce monthly reports covering cost analysis and service delivery performance
• Develop and implement call-out procedures for service and maintenance contracts
• Provide technical support guidance to overseas subsidiaries and distributors where required

About You:

• 5–10 years’ experience in a similar service, contracts, or operations management role
• Proven track record in selling and managing service/maintenance agreements
• Experience managing outsourced service delivery models
• Strong project management and organisational skills
• Confident communicator, able to engage effectively with customers and site contacts
• Good understanding of on-site Health & Safety requirements
• Full, clean UK driving licence
• Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office and Excel
