Investment Manager

Salary: £80,000 + Benefits + Bonus

A highly regarded wealth management business within a well-established mid-tier accountancy practice is looking to appoint an Investment Manager to take ownership of its in-house investment solutions.

This is an outstanding opportunity for an investment professional with 4–5 years’ experience in wealth management or financial planning who is looking to play a pivotal role in shaping investment strategy within a growing and ambitious business.

Working closely with the Chief Investment Officer and a team of Financial Planners, you will be responsible for researching and constructing tailored investment solutions for high-net-worth private clients. Importantly, this role is focused on investment proposition development rather than direct client relationship management.

The Role

• Take ownership of the research, design and ongoing development of all in-house investment solutions alongside the Chief Investment Officer
• Construct and maintain investment portfolios and strategies tailored to high-net-worth private clients
• Collaborate with Financial Planners to ensure investment solutions meet client objectives and risk profiles
• Support the continued growth of the wealth management business through contributions to client acquisition and retention
• Represent the firm at client meetings, presentations and business development events where appropriate
• Work closely with the Marketing team to create high-quality sales materials and promote the firm's wealth management offering

Candidate Profile

• 4–5 years’ experience within wealth management, financial planning or a related investment environment
• Strong interest in investments and portfolio construction
• Good understanding of asset allocation, investment research and risk profiling
• IMC qualification and/or relevant CISI or CII investment exam passes
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with advisers and senior stakeholders
• Commercially minded with an interest in contributing to business growth
