SEN Teacher - Chelmsford - Start Date ASAP

Prospero Teaching are seeking a passionate and skilled SEN Teacher to join a supportive specialist or mainstream setting in Chelmsford, starting ASAP. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated practitioner with a strong understanding of Special Educational Needs to make a meaningful impact on pupils' learning, development, and wellbeing.

The school is looking for an adaptable, empathetic teacher with strong behaviour management, excellent communication skills, and a genuine commitment to inclusive education.


CONTRACT DETAILS
  • Location - Chelmsford

  • Position - SEN Teacher

  • Type of work - Teaching & SEN support

  • Start date - ASAP

  • Duration - Ongoing / Long-term

  • Full time/part-time - Full time

  • Minimum rate of pay - £150-£220 per day

  • Hours - 8:30 am - 4:00 pm


EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS
  • PGCE, QTS, or equivalent teaching qualification

  • Experience working with pupils with SEN (ASC, SEMH, MLD, SLD, or complex needs)

  • Strong understanding of differentiation and personalised learning

  • Up-to-date Safeguarding training (desirable)

  • Experience using strategies to support communication, emotional regulation, and behaviour


TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:
  • Hold Right to Work in the UK

  • Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS on the Update Service or be willing to apply for one

  • Provide two professional child-related references
