Our client is seeking an enthusiastic and well-organised QC Microbiologist with 1–2 years of experience in a microbiology laboratory.

The successful candidate will hold a BTEC or BSc in Microbiology (or a related discipline), with experience gained in a pharmaceutical, food, or water testing environment.

Duties include:

• Ensuring that testing of water samples (bioburden and chemical) and raw materials complies with regulatory requirements
• Performing microbiological analysis of environmental samples from production areas, aseptic suits, and other cleanroom environments
• Maintaining the microbiological quality and safety of all products in line with customer requirements
• Ensuring all work complies with HACCP, GMP, customer certification, and quality system standards
• Conducting method validation activities and preparing associated reports
• Working closely with the QA department

Candidates must have strong communication skills and be able to liaise effectively with staff at all levels
