Chalk Hill Group are working with a dynamic and fast-paced international business based in Portsmouth, seeking an experienced Italian-speaking Purchase Ledger Clerk to join their finance team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a collaborative environment and thrives on accuracy, organisation, and managing high volumes of financial data.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Processing high volumes of purchase invoices accurately and efficiently
  • Reconciling supplier statements and resolving discrepancies
  • Liaising with Italian-speaking suppliers via email and phone
  • Preparing and processing payment runs
  • Maintaining accurate financial records and supporting month-end processes
  • Assisting with ad hoc finance tasks as required

About You:

  • Fluent in Italian (written and spoken)
  • Previous experience in a purchase ledger or accounts payable role
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
  • Confident communicator with the ability to build supplier relationships
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting systems
