We are seeking caring, reliable, and enthusiastic individuals to join our dedicated team as Midday Meal Supervisors at a welcoming one-form entry mainstream primary school in the London Borough of Hackney.

Job Description:

  • Supervising children during lunchtime in the dining hall and playground
  • Encouraging positive behaviour, good manners, and social interaction
  • Supporting children with their wellbeing and emotional needs
  • Assisting younger pupils where required
  • Promoting safe play and positive engagement during break times
  • Helping to maintain a calm and inclusive environment
  • Working closely with teaching and pastoral staff


Additional Opportunities

Alongside the Midday Meal Supervisor role, there may also be other opportunities for staff who demonstrate flexibility, commitment, and strong relationships with pupils may occasionally be offered:

  • Morning breakfast club shifts
  • Full-day Teaching Assistant support roles
  • Additional classroom-based responsibilities where suitable


Location: Hackney, London

Position: Midday Meal Supervisor / Breakfast Club Assistant

Working Hours: 11:30am – 13:30pm (Monday to Friday)

School Type: Mainstream One-Form Entry Primary School

Start Date: September 2026

Contract: Term-Time Only (Long-Term)

Trial Days: Selected candidates will be invited to attend paid trial day(s) during July 2026 as part of the recruitment process.
