An exciting opportunity has arisen for an R&D Electrochemical Scientist to join multidisciplinary R&D and engineering teams based in the South of the UK.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop research experiments to optimise electrochemical processes
  • Conduct experiments using existing electrochemical testing setups
  • Maintain and improve experimental systems and testing procedures
  • Collaborate with R&D and engineering teams on the development of full-scale industrial processes
  • Develop experimental protocols for the characterisation of electrochemical properties
  • Analyse and interpret large datasets to support research outcomes

Qualifications and Experience

  • MSc or PhD in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline
  • 3–4 years’ experience in an electrochemical research or engineering environment
  • Strong theoretical background in electrochemistry, with proven data analysis and modelling skills
  • Experience with materials characterisation and electrochemical cell setup
  • Ability to independently plan, execute, and manage research programmes
