We're partnering with a well-established independent firm of Chartered Accountants based in Leeds that is continuing to grow following another successful year.

With a strong reputation across audit, accounts, tax, and advisory work, they're now looking to bring in an Audit & Accounts Assistant to strengthen their existing team.

The Role

You'll work closely with managers and senior team members across a broad range of audit and accounts assignments.

  • Audit Work: Supporting statutory audit assignments as part of a wider audit team
  • Accounts Preparation: Preparing year-end statutory accounts under FRS102 and FRS105
  • Corporation Tax: Drafting corporation tax computations
  • Client Support: Assisting clients with bookkeeping, VAT returns, and cloud-based software
  • Advisory Exposure: Supporting occasional ad-hoc projects including valuations, tax planning, and due diligence work

What We're Looking For

  • Ideally studying ACA, ACCA, or AAT
  • At least 12 months' experience within accountancy practice
  • Experience preparing accounts is essential
  • Audit exposure beneficial but not essential
  • Familiar with software such as Sage, Xero, or QuickBooks
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative attitude
  • Someone proactive, eager to learn, and comfortable working as part of a team
