Finance Manager

£65,000 – £75,000 + Bens

A newly created role for a rapidly scaling organisation. Leading the transition of the accounting function in-house and building a robust finance infrastructure for rapid and long-term growth.

The role

Reporting to the CFO, the Finance Manager will take ownership of bringing the accounting function in-house from an external provider and establishing the processes, controls and governance needed to support a growing business. This is a hands-on leadership role with genuine scope to shape how the finance function operates.

• Key responsibilities
• Project manage the end-to-end transition of finance and accounting records in-house
• Lead preparation of monthly management accounts with Board-ready commentary and variance analysis
• Design and implement financial controls, governance frameworks and finance policies from the ground up
• Support audit, statutory compliance and regulatory reporting
• Identify and implement systems and process improvements to support scale

• Candidate profile
• Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA with a strong academic record
• Experience building or insourcing a finance function, or establishing financial operations in a scaling business
• Strong background in management reporting, controls and governance
• High-growth or scaling organisation background desirable
• Confident communicator, organised and comfortable operating with autonomy
