An exciting opportunity has arisen for an inspirational and committed professional to join a high-quality all-through special school supporting pupils with Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD).

This role would suit someone already working in SEND, or a passionate educator looking to develop a long-term career in the special education sector. At a time of growth and development for the school, we are seeking a creative and motivated individual with a genuine commitment to improving outcomes and experiences for pupils with complex needs.

About the School
  • All-through provision for pupils with SLD
  • Small class sizes of 8–12 pupils, supported by experienced Teaching Assistants and Senior Leaders
  • Two campus setting, serving Ipswich and surrounding areas of Suffolk
  • Part of a forward-thinking, collaborative Academy Trust with an expanding special schools network

You will be joining a supportive team with access to experienced SEND leaders who provide ongoing guidance and advice as the school continues to develop.

The Role
  • Deliver a creative, engaging and adapted curriculum that meets a wide range of needs
  • Lead learning with high expectations, ensuring all pupils make progress
  • Work closely with TAs, therapists, families and senior leaders to support holistic development
  • Contribute to the ongoing development of SEND practice across the school
