The Quality Engineer is responsible for ensuring that products, processes, and systems meet established quality standards and customer requirements. The role focuses on continuous improvement, root cause analysis, process validation, compliance, and maintaining high manufacturing and operational standards.
Key Responsibilities - Monitor and improve product and process quality performance.
- Conduct root cause investigations and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Support internal and external audits and ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Develop, review, and maintain quality documentation and procedures.
- Work closely with production, engineering, and supply chain teams to resolve quality issues.
- Perform inspections, testing, and validation activities as required.
- Analyse quality data and generate reports to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with ISO standards and relevant regulatory requirements.
- Support supplier quality activities and customer complaint investigations.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and lean manufacturing activities.
Required Skills & Experience - Previous experience in a Quality Engineer or similar quality-focused role.
- Strong understanding of quality management systems and quality tools.
- Experience with root cause analysis methods such as 5 Whys, Fishbone, or FMEA.
- Knowledge of ISO standards and auditing processes.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and quality reporting systems.
Preferred Qualifications - Degree or equivalent qualification in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field.
- Experience within manufacturing, medical devices, aerospace, automotive, or regulated industries.
- Internal Auditor qualification or quality certifications are advantageous.
