Cover Supervisor

We are currently recruiting reliable and adaptable Cover Supervisors based in or around Macclesfield to support a range of secondary schools on a day-to-day supply basis.

This role is ideal for individuals who are flexible, happy to receive morning calls, and keen to gain experience working across different school environments. You’ll play a key role in maintaining continuity of learning when teaching staff are absent.

Location: Macclesfield & surrounding areas

Start Date: Immediate and ongoing
Schools: A variety of secondary schools

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervising whole classes during the short-term absence of teaching staff
  • Delivering pre-set lesson plans and ensuring students remain on task
  • Managing classroom behaviour in line with school policies
  • Supporting pupils with their work where appropriate
  • Adapting quickly to different schools and classroom settings

Who We’re Looking For

  • Individuals based in Macclesfield or able to travel locally
  • Available for day-to-day work, including short-notice bookings
  • Comfortable with early morning calls
  • Confident working with secondary school students
  • Previous experience working with young people is desirable (schools, tutoring, coaching, youth work) or as a cover supervisor
  • Strong communication skills and a calm, professional manner

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
