Role Overview We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Year 3 Teacher to join our welcoming primary school in Northwich. The successful candidate will deliver high-quality teaching and learning to Key Stage 2 pupils, ensuring all children are supported, challenged, and inspired to achieve their full potential.

Key ResponsibilitiesTeaching and Learning - Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons in line with the National Curriculum for Year 3.
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes high standards of behaviour and learning.
- Assess, record, and report on pupil progress, using data to inform teaching and support pupil attainment.
- Adapt teaching strategies to meet the needs of all learners, including SEND and EAL pupils.
Classroom Management - Establish clear expectations and routines to maintain a calm, purposeful classroom environment.
- Promote positive behaviour in line with the school’s behaviour policy.
- Manage resources effectively to enhance learning experiences.
Pastoral Care - Support the personal, social, and emotional development of pupils.
- Foster strong relationships with pupils, parents/carers, and colleagues.
- Provide a safe and nurturing learning environment.
Collaboration and Communication - Work collaboratively with colleagues, teaching assistants, and school leaders.
- Communicate effectively with parents and carers regarding pupil progress and wellbeing.
- Participate in staff meetings, training, and school events.
Professional Development - Engage in continuous professional development and reflective practice.
- Keep up to date with curriculum developments and teaching strategies.
Person SpecificationEssential Criteria - Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Experience teaching in Key Stage 2 (or strong placement experience for ECTs).
- Strong knowledge of the National Curriculum.
- Excellent classroom management skills.
- Ability to inspire and motivate pupils of varying abilities.
- Effective communication and organisational skills.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
Desirable Criteria - Experience teaching Year 3.
- Knowledge of phonics and lower KS2 transition.
- Experience supporting pupils with additional needs.
- Familiarity with assessment and tracking systems.
