Role Overview

This opportunity has arisen due to an immediate need for additional support as the team transitions from strategy into execution. A current contractor has been independently leading pricing work, and the team now requires someone who can quickly step in, work collaboratively, and ensure continuity and clarity across the analysis.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in fast-moving environments, can pick up existing work quickly, and communicates proactively while working closely with senior stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the Senior Analyst and Central Planning team with day-to-day analytical tasks
• Break down complex analytical requests into clear, manageable deliverables
• Validate and enhance existing pricing models based on changes in direction
• Conduct ongoing operational and performance analysis
• Design and evaluate tests to measure pricing strategy performance
• Translate data insights into actionable outcomes to inform business decisions
• Ensure consistency, clarity, and traceability in analytical processes
• Work collaboratively to fully understand and build on prior work

What Success Looks Like

By the end of the project, you will have:

• Contributed to the delivery and validation of a new pricing strategy
• Generated clear insights from testing and analysis to guide decision-making
• Helped build tools and frameworks to measure performance and pivot strategy effectively
• Supported the rollout of a refined customer pricing plan from July onwards

Skills & ExperienceMust-Have

• Advanced Excel skills (highly detailed, analytical use)
• Strong SQL / Snowflake experience
• Proven ability to structure and communicate analysis clearly
• Highly numerate with a logical, step-by-step approach to problem solving

Nice-to-Have

• Experience with Python or R
• Exposure to building analytical or pricing models

Industry Experience

• Retail or eCommerce
• Fast-paced, high-volume business environments

Soft Skills

• Strong communication and transparency - essential
• Highly collaborative mindset (team-first approach)
• Ability to over-communicate and stay closely aligned with stakeholders

• Limited runway - you will be expected to hit the ground running from day one

Working Pattern

• Mostly remote
• 1 day per week in Farringdon (flexible)

Interview Process

• Stage 1: 45-minute interview (Hiring Manager + team member)
• Stage 2: Case study (1 hour)
  • Analyse provided dataset
  • Answer 3 key analytical questions
• Final discussion with Analyst & Central Planning Lead
