Our client, a leading global hedge fund, is seeking a highly talented DevOps Engineer to join their core Trading Infrastructure team. This is a rare opportunity to work on mission-critical, low-latency systems that power a world-class quantitative trading platform.

In this role, you'll work on technically complex challenges, help evolve cutting-edge infrastructure, and contribute directly to the reliability and performance of high-throughput trading systems. You'll collaborate across operations, hardware engineering, and development teams to shape automation, tooling, and workflows that support rapid scaling and continuous improvement.



Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement automation for building, testing and deploying trading platforms.
  • Enhance CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tooling to improve developer experience and operational reliability.
  • Partner with operations teams to identify inefficiencies and address them through automation and process optimisation.
  • Work closely with hardware engineering teams to improve build, test and integration workflows.
  • Troubleshoot production and development environment issues.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of internal systems, tooling and infrastructure practices.


Key Requirements

  • Strong proficiency in Python and Bash.
  • Experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (GitLab preferred).
  • Hands-on knowledge of configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible).
  • Solid grounding in networking fundamentals (routing, multicast, VLANs, Ethernet).
  • Ability to work independently, take ownership, and deliver solutions with high autonomy.
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.
  • Familiarity with C++ and SQL (preferred).
  • Experience with containerization and cloud infrastructure (AWS).
  • Exposure to Infrastructure-as-Code, such as Terraform.
