Are you passionate about supporting children with additional needs and looking to make a meaningful difference within a primary school setting?

Long Term Futures are recruiting for a dedicated and resilient SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Nuneaton. This role will involve providing 1:1 support for a Year 5 pupil with Autism and ADHD, helping them to engage positively with learning, build confidence and manage emotional regulation throughout the school day.

The Role

  • Delivering dedicated 1:1 support throughout the school day
  • Supporting emotional regulation, focus and classroom engagement
  • Implementing behaviour strategies and structured routines
  • Adapting learning tasks to meet individual needs and EHCP targets
  • Encouraging positive social interaction and independence
  • Supporting transitions and unstructured parts of the school day
  • Monitoring progress and providing feedback to teaching staff and SENCO

The Ideal Candidate

  • A Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent)
  • Previous experience supporting children with ASD, ADHD or behavioural needs
  • Strong behaviour management and de-escalation skills
  • Experience working with EHCP targets and SEN intervention strategies
  • A calm, nurturing and resilient approach
  • The ability to build strong relationships with pupils and staff
  • Good understanding of the UK primary curriculum and inclusive practice
