At Tetra Tech, you'll work on high-impact projects across the UK, helping to tackle some of the most complex environmental challenges.
Purpose & Scope of the RoleAs a Consultant or Engineer within our flood risk and water engineering team, you will support the delivery of a wide range of infrastructure and development projects across the UK. Working on schemes from £1m to £100m, you will contribute to flood risk solution design, hydraulic modelling, hydrology assessments, and drainage strategies including SuDS and natural flood management. You will be involved throughout the project lifecycle, from early-stage optioneering and client engagement through to design delivery and project close-out, while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and supporting business growth activities.
Your Impact in this positionYou will play an important role in delivering effective, sustainable flood risk and drainage solutions that support resilient communities and infrastructure. Your technical input will help clients navigate complex planning and environmental requirements, while your collaboration and mentoring will strengthen team capability and project outcomes.
Core CapabilitiesDegree in a relevant discipline with experience in flood risk or water engineering. Working towards or holding chartership with ICE or CIWEM is desirable. UK project experience is essential, along with a full UK driving licence. Eligibility for SC clearance is advantageous.
Working EnvironmentThis role can be based in Manchester, Leeds or London, with flexibility for other UK locations. Hybrid working is supported. Projects are UK-wide, so occasional travel and flexibility in working hours may be required.
