Finance Assistant

Full-time | 37.5 hours | Year-round (52 weeks)

£25,989 – £27,694 (DOE)

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with finance experience who is looking for a role with real purpose, alongside strong development prospects in a collaborative environment.

The Role

You’ll play a key role in supporting the day-to-day finance function, including:

  • Managing purchase and sales ledger
  • Maintaining accurate financial records
  • Supporting credit control processes
  • Handling banking and cash transactions
  • Completing monthly reconciliations
  • Managing petty cash and company card transactions
  • Assisting with month-end and year-end procedures

You’ll also be involved in broader operational duties:

  • Coordinating orders and liaising with suppliers and external stakeholders
  • Supporting costings and financial agreements
  • Maintaining databases and producing documentation
  • Ensuring records are audit-ready
  • Communicating effectively across departments

This is a varied and fast-paced role suited to someone organised and proactive.

About You

  • Previous finance experience (essential)
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills (particularly Excel)
  • Excellent organisation and attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills
  • Able to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Flexible and proactive approach

Experience within an education or public sector setting is helpful but not essential.
