Elevation Recruitment Group are working with a well-established engineering and automation business delivering control systems projects across the UK Water sector. Due to continued project wins and a growing workload, we are looking to recruit experienced Control Systems Engineers to join their team based in Leeds.
This is a hands-on role suited to engineers with strong experience modifying, commissioning and supporting live control systems within the Water industry. The successful candidate will be involved across the full project lifecycle including surveys, design input, PLC/HMI modifications, testing and on-site commissioning.
Please note: previous Water industry experience is essential for this position.
Key ResponsibilitiesModify and support existing PLC, HMI and SCADA systems on live process sites
Carry out site surveys and identify risks associated with live control systems
Assist with control system design and functional specifications
Support Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT)
Commission and troubleshoot control systems on customer sites
Work closely with electrical and mechanical teams during project delivery
Produce and update technical documentation throughout the project lifecycle
Support integration of new systems into existing plant infrastructure
Proven experience within the UK Water industry is essential
Background in Controls, Automation or EC&I Engineering
Strong PLC/HMI/SCADA experience within process environments
Experience modifying and integrating into existing live control systems
Knowledge of Allen Bradley/Rockwell and/or Mitsubishi systems preferred
Comfortable carrying out commissioning and fault finding on site
Understanding of control philosophies, P&IDs and electrical schematics
Full UK Driving Licence
Flexible to travel for site-based work across the UK
