Vane Hill Care Home is a specialist service in Torquay, set across two Victorian houses overlooking Torbay. The home provides structured, enablement focused support for adults living with mental health conditions, including Korsakoff’s syndrome and Alcohol-Related Brain Damage, promoting independence, stability and wellbeing.
Support Worker Contract
Role Overview
As a Support Worker, you will provide high quality, person centred support to individuals with complex needs, including mental health conditions and other long term health challenges, within a structured and supportive environment.
You will support residents with personal care, mobility and daily routines, encouraging independence while promoting dignity and respect at all times. Following individual care plans, you will monitor wellbeing, respond to changes in needs and help maintain a calm, safe and consistent environment.
During waking night shifts, you will ensure residents feel safe, reassured and supported throughout the night, maintaining a secure and stable environment.
Working closely with the wider team, you will build positive relationships and contribute to a well organised setting where your role has a direct impact on residents’ wellbeing and quality of life.
