We are a VC-backed, prop-tech platform experiencing rapid growth in Central London, seeking a Financial Controller

We completed 2 acquisitions in year one, 6 in year two, and are targeting significant growth this year. We are building an ambitious proptech platform and are expanding our team accordingly creating an exciting Financial Controller opportunity.

Following our debt and series raise, we're looking for a commercially minded Financial Controller to join the Group Finance team, reporting to the FD. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys ownership, thrives in ambiguity, and wants to help shape a finance function - not just report from one.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Control & Reporting

Own the month-end close process, ensuring accurate and timely management accounts including cashflow reporting

Full responsibility for balance sheet integrity, including reconciliations and supporting schedules

Manage the relationship with outsourced bookkeepers to ensure financial statements are prepared accurately and on time

Lead the year-end statutory audit process, including inaugural group audit Controls, Process & Risk

Establish, maintain, and improve financial controls suitable for a scaling business

Develop finance policies and procedures as required Identify financial risks and implement mitigation strategies

Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulatory requirements Leadership & Stakeholder Management Line manage and develop one finance team member

Build strong relationships with senior stakeholders, acting as a trusted finance partner Comfortable operating in a business where priorities evolve and pace is high Acquisitions

Lead acquisition accounting and opening balance sheet work

Manage the financial integration and onboarding of acquired entities onto ERP and reporting framework Growth & Transformation

Support the continued evolution of the finance function as the business scales

Able to balance hands-on delivery with building for the future

Drive automation of reporting and forecasting processes.

Leverage modern tools and AI-enabled solutions to reduce manual work.

Support the evaluation and migration to a scalable ERP platform suited to multi-entity consolidation

Candidate Profile

Fully qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA )

Minimum 4 years post-qualification experience

Strong grounding in financial control within a fast-paced SME, startup, or scale-up environment

Confident owning month-end, reporting, and balance sheet processes end-to-end

Comfortable in a changing, less structured environment

Proactive attitude and good communication skills

Comfortable operating in a high-growth environment where processes are still being built High level of attention to detail, organisation, and stakeholder management capability.
