Reed Accountancy Practice are working on behalf of a rapidly growing professional services firm seeking an experienced Accounts & Business Services Manager/ Senior Manager to lead their Business Services team in Newcastle.

This is a key leadership role with full responsibility for pod performance, client delivery, and team development, working closely with the Director to support continued growth.

The Role

• Manage and develop a varied portfolio of clients
• Review complex management accounts, VAT returns (including cross-border and partial exemption)
• Oversee work for larger, audited entities
• Review statutory accounts and ensure timely year-end adjustments
• Act as a senior technical lead and main client contact
• Lead, mentor, and develop a growing team
• Work collaboratively with Audit and Personal Tax teams
• Identify process improvements and cross-selling opportunities
• Support the Business Services Director with ad-hoc projects and client management

About You

• ACCA / ACA / CIMA qualified 
• Strong practice experience managing client portfolios
• Excellent knowledge of Xero, Sage, cloud accounting & VAT
• Confident dealing with HMRC and complex VAT matters (including postponed VAT accounting)
• Solid statutory accounts experience
• A proactive leader with strong communication and organisational skills
