A well-established and growing specialist equipment hire business is seeking a proactive and organised Hire Desk Assistant to join its busy operations team.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast paced environment and enjoys balancing customer communication, scheduling and administration responsibilities.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinating daily and weekly job scheduling and equipment allocation
  • Preparing operational paperwork and job packs for field engineers
  • Managing contract hire amendments and supporting invoice processing
  • Assisting with month-end administration and invoicing tasks
  • Preparing quotations and following up on customer enquiries
  • Maintaining internal records, including risk assessment documentation
  • Handling incoming customer queries and providing operational support
  • Supporting the wider team with general office administration duties


About You:

  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise a busy workload within a reactive business
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Confident using IT systems and administration software
  • High attention to detail and strong customer service skills
  • Comfortable working within a collaborative, fast-moving team environment
  • Previous experience within hire, construction, plant, access equipment or related sectors would be advantageous
