Management Accountant

• Fixed Term Contract: 6 months
• Annual Salary: £38k - £40k
• Location: Boldon Colliery

My client is seeking a Management Accountant for an immediate start. This role is ideal for someone proficient in Sage 50, ready to handle a variety of financial tasks from the preparation of monthly management accounts to cash flow management and forecasting.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Prepare and analyse monthly management accounts.
• Conduct P&L and budget versus actual reporting to senior stakeholders.
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations, manage accruals, prepayments, and journals.
• Oversee cash flow management and forecasting.
• Process payroll, manage staff benefits, and provide P11D support.
• Handle VAT returns and liaise with external auditors.
• Manage the Invoice Financing Facility.
• Produce weekly Flash reports on Sales, Payroll, Headcount, etc., across our depots.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Proficiency in Sage 50.
• Strong experience in managing financial records and reporting.
• Ability to handle payroll processing and related financial tasks.
• Experience with VAT returns and external audit processes.
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to report to senior stakeholders.
