Our client is seeking an experienced Mechanical Inspector to join their team on an initial 6-month contract, with the potential for extension.

Role Overview

The Mechanical Inspector will be responsible for the inspection and measurement of medium to high-complexity machined component piece parts. This role is best suited to someone with strong experience in a sub-contract manufacturing environment, where inspection of individual component parts is a core responsibility.

Applicants from OEM environments may also be considered where the role involves a high volume of hands-on inspection activity

Key Responsibilities

• Inspection of precision machined components to engineering drawings
• Measurement using manual inspection tools, including:
  • Vernier calipers
  • Micrometers and other measuring devices
• Basic use of CMM equipment (limited requirement)
• Accurate recording of inspection results and documentation

Requirements

• Proven experience inspecting medium to high-complexity component parts
• Background in sub-contract or high-volume manufacturing inspection
• Competent using manual inspection equipment
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings

Hours & Pay

• Hours: 7:00am - 4:00pm, Monday to Friday
• Pay: Up to £18.00 per hour, depending on experience
