Primary SEN TA

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and inclusive primary school. This is a rewarding opportunity to support pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN), helping them to access the curriculum and reach their full potential.

You will work closely with class teachers and the SENCo to provide targeted support, both in and out of the classroom, ensuring all pupils feel supported, valued, and engaged.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEN (e.g. ASD, ADHD, speech and language needs)
• Assist the class teacher in delivering differentiated learning activities
• Support pupils with social, emotional, and behavioural needs
• Encourage independence and confidence in learning
• Monitor and record progress, providing feedback to teachers and SENCo
• Promote a safe and inclusive learning environment

Requirements

• Experience working with children with SEN (school or childcare setting preferred)
• UK school based experience
• A patient, empathetic, and positive approach
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to adapt to individual pupil needs
• Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant) are desirable but not essential
