Digital Travel Company Finance Officer

We’re looking for a reliable, highly commercial Finance Officer to join our small team as the business continues to grow. This is a hands-on role where you’ll manage all financial and bookkeeping and manage strategic, administrative and clerical finance related tasks in the business and all its brands. You will take on real responsibility early on, and be able see the direct impact of your work.

This role suits someone who enjoys variety and takes ownership and can handle the financial elements of a commercial travel business, not just from theory, but by being actively involved. This is not a role for someone who wishes only to tick boxes -as a small business we are looking for a team member who has a very strong commercial mindset paired with a can- do, entrepreneurial attitude to managing all finance related elements of the business and its brands.

We’re a UK-based digital B2B travel company that designs and delivers carefully curated premium group tours and experiences. We work with long-standing partners including Hilton, Marriott, English Heritage, Orient Express and the Royal Collection Trust, and focus on quality, strong relationships and well-thought-out travel experiences.

We’re a small team, which means everyone’s contribution matters. As the business grows, we are looking for team members who are keen to grow with it.

What will you be doing?

  • Maintain and reconcile all reservations, ensuring accuracy at all times
  • Monitoring accounts, identifying arrears, overpayments and discrepancies
  • Carry out credit control activities including arrears reporting and payment plans
  • Process financial transactions, journals and maintain supporting records and reconciliations
  • Prepare reports, dashboards and support KPI monitoring
  • Manage shared inbox and respond to queries, supporting managers with financial information
  • Assist with month-end, year-end and audit processes, providing wider team support

Who we are looking for

  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles
  • Very strong commercial mindset
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Organised, dependable and comfortable taking responsibility
  • Flexible, proactive and willing to support different departments as required
  • Previous office experience in the UK or Europe
  • Clear, confident communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Able to work 5 days 9am-5.30pm a week in our office in Windsor
  • High levels of Xero competency
  • A 2:1 degree or equivalent qualification
