Business Support Administrator (12-Month FTC)

We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Business Support Administrator to join the UK team on a 12-month fixed-term contract. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys variety, and takes pride in delivering high-quality administrative and systems support.

  • Location: Bishop’s Stortford (Office-based)
  • Hours: Monday–Friday, standard office hours
  • Start Date: July/August 2026


The Role

You will play a key part in ensuring the smooth running of the office, supporting colleagues across business development, marketing, recruitment, and wider operations. This is a hands-on, detail-driven role where accuracy, initiative, and strong communication are essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage daily administrative and office tasks, including placing orders, booking travel, preparing meeting materials, and maintaining office supplies.
  • Conduct regular inventory checks and maintain accurate records, including confidential information.
  • Support the development and implementation of Environmental, Social & Governance (ESG) improvements within the office.
  • Coordinate and maintain software systems and processes, extracting data from CRM and QMS platforms to support business development, marketing, and policy updates.
  • Provide recruitment administration support, including induction and onboarding for new starters.
  • Assist the business development team with travel coordination, event bookings, meeting scheduling, and general administrative tasks.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, tools, and reporting to enhance productivity and operational excellence.
  • Run reports to support day-to-day operations and escalate non-adherence to contractual requirements.
  • Support internal communication by issuing updates and notices to the wider team.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for external suppliers.

Skills & Experience

  • Educated to degree level.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar administrative role.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word).
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Adaptable, enthusiastic, and able to work independently as well as within a close-knit team.
  • Able to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Highly organised, proactive, and able to use initiative.
  • Strong integrity and ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a service-oriented approach.
  • Experience with CRM or HR systems is advantageous.
