Farm Assistant

• Pay Rate: £13.45 per hr paye
• Location: Heaton Park, Manchester, Lancashire, M25
• Job Type: Full-time, Temporary (3 months)

Manchester City Council are looking for a dedicated Farm Assistant to join the team at The Farm Centre located in Heaton Park. This role is essential for maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety, ensuring a welcoming environment for all visitors and employees. The position requires weekend work and offers a dynamic work environment with a variety of responsibilities.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Maintain the internal and external appearance and cleanliness of buildings and surrounding areas.
• Perform regular inspections, liaise with customers, and report any issues identified.
• Handle queries and correspondence with tact and diplomacy from a diverse range of internal and external customers.
• Update and extract information from management systems, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
• Ensure safe working environments and practices, adhering to health and safety regulations.
• Contribute to building security, operate security systems, and manage keys.
• Engage in continuous self-development and contribute to service improvement.
• Work flexibly to meet the needs of the service, which may include evenings and weekends.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Valid full UK driving license.
• Ability to work weekends as required by the role.
• Strong communication skills and customer-focused approach.
• Experience in facilities management or a similar role is advantageous.
• Commitment to safety and quality standards.
• Physically fit to handle maintenance tasks and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Valid Standard DBS check.
