I am seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Private Client Tax Adviser at Manager or Assistant Manager level to join a well-established and forward-thinking professional services firm. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a broad range of complex and interesting tax matters, supporting clients who value high-quality, trusted advice.

This role is ideal for someone with a passion for tax planning, particularly inheritance tax and capital gains tax, who enjoys solving technical challenges within a collaborative and supportive environment. You will work with a diverse client base including individuals, business owners, agricultural clients, trusts, and partnerships.

The successful candidate can be based from the firms Yeovil, Exeter or Chippenham offices on a hybrid working model.

Your role as a Personal Tax Manager:

• Advising on inheritance tax, capital gains tax, trusts, and succession planning.
• Supporting the delivery of tax advisory projects.
• Collaborating with compliance teams to ensure accurate reporting.
• Liaising confidently with clients, HMRC, and professional advisers.
• Providing input on remuneration strategies and benefits in kind.
• Keeping up to date with tax legislation and technical developments.
• Reviewing junior team members' work and supporting their development.
• Working across teams to identify opportunities and add value.

What you'll need to succeed:

• ATT / CTA qualified or part-qualified.
• Strong experience in capital gains tax and inheritance tax planning.
• Knowledge of trusts and complex compliance work.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong analytical and organisational abilities.
• Experience preparing advisory reports and handling technical queries.
