Are you and Accounts Assistant/Finance Administrator who is available at short notice to take up a 6-month fixed term contract? Would you like to work on a remote basis for a high-growth business that values its people?


Transparent is working on an exclusive basis with an incredibly dynamic business based in the North West of Essex. The business sits within a genuinely exciting industry, working with well-recognised global brands.


Due to the company’s exponential growth, a new vacancy has been created. In your role as Accounts Assistant, you would support the Financial Manager with maintaining accurate accounting records on their multiple bank accounts. This would be an ideal role in which to gain further experience, and to continue to develop your career in accounts.


Working within a supportive and friendly finance team, your main duties will include:


  • Monitor and maintain the accounts inbox
  • Process purchase ledger invoices
  • Resolve purchase ledger queries
  • Aged payables reporting
  • Provide assistance during the month-end close process
  • Assist with other fundamental bookkeeping tasks
  • Reconcile bank accounts and credit cards
  • Maintain spreadsheets and financial data
  • Support the finance team with ad hoc tasks
  • Help contribute towards the implementation of new system processes
  • Ensure processes and controls are adhered to in area of responsibility


Minimum Requirements:

The Person:

  • Good Excel skills (formulas, data entry, reconciliation)
  • Experience in a similar role
  • An ability to work to tight deadlines and be flexible in approach
  • A keen desire to continuously learn
  • Organised with ability to work under pressure and prioritise own workload
  • Excellent communication skills - verbally and in writing with colleagues and external parties
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent collaboration and teamwork skills
