We are currently seeking an experienced Legal Secretary to join a busy and highly regarded Tax & Trusts (Private Client) team based in York. This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a supportive and dynamic team, working on a broad range of high-quality matters including wills, probate, lasting powers of attorney, estate planning, and trusts.
The Role
You will provide comprehensive secretarial and administrative support to a specialist legal team, ensuring the smooth running of day-to-day operations. Key responsibilities include:
Supporting fee earners with Tax & Trusts / Private Client work
Managing file opening and client onboarding processes
Handling client correspondence and internal administration
Maintaining accurate records and documentation
Assisting with general office and team support tasks
About You
We’re looking for a proactive and organised individual who enjoys working in a fast-paced legal environment. You will have:
Previous experience as a Legal Secretary within Tax & Trusts
Strong administrative and organisational skills
Excellent attention to detail
Confident communication and interpersonal abilities
The ability to work independently as well as part of a team
