A well-established private practice law firm in Newbury is seeking a Conveyancing Paralegal to support its busy and growing Residential Property team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Conveyancing Paralegal or a law graduate with conveyancing exposure who is looking to build a long-term career within private practice.

The Role

You will work closely with fee earners on a high-volume residential conveyancing caseload, assisting on files from instruction through to post-completion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assisting with residential conveyancing transactions including freehold and leasehold matters
  • Preparing contracts, completion statements and supporting documentation
  • Opening and progressing files from instruction to completion
  • Liaising with clients, estate agents, lenders and solicitors
  • Ordering and reviewing searches
  • Handling post-completion work including Land Registry submissions

The Ideal Candidate

  • Previous experience in residential conveyancing as a Paralegal or Legal Assistant
  • Strong understanding of the end-to-end conveyancing process
  • Excellent communication and client care skills
  • Well organised with strong attention to detail
  • Law graduates with conveyancing experience will be considered
