Quality Engineer

An established engineering and manufacturing business is seeking an experienced Quality Engineer to enhance product quality, supplier performance, and drive continuous improvement across operations. This hands-on role is ideal for someone who thrives in problem-solving, enjoys working cross-functionally, and is keen on driving robust quality processes in a structured engineering environment.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Support and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS) in line with relevant ISO standards.
• Lead and participate in internal, customer, and supplier audits.
• Manage non-conformances, concessions, and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA).
• Conduct root cause analysis and ensure effective corrective actions are implemented.
• Support quality planning, inspection activities, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Act as a quality point of contact for manufacturing, engineering, and supply chain teams.
• Assist with customer quality issues and contribute to timely, effective resolutions.
• Monitor supplier quality performance and support improvement actions.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Quality Engineer or in a similar quality-focused role.
• Background in engineering or manufacturing environments.
• Strong understanding of quality tools and methodologies (e.g., 8D, FMEA, SPC).
• Experience working within ISO-based quality management systems.
• Confident communicator, comfortable working with internal teams and external suppliers.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with great attention to detail.
• Able to manage priorities effectively in a fast-paced environment.
