Part-Time School Cleaner

Reed Education are recruiting on behalf of a friendly and well-maintained school in the Forest of Dean for a reliable and conscientious Part-Time School Cleaner. This role plays an important part in ensuring the school environment remains clean, safe, and welcoming for pupils, staff, and visitors.

The Role:

As a School Cleaner, you will be responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness across the school premises.

Key duties include:

• Cleaning classrooms, corridors, offices, and communal areas
• Sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting
• Cleaning toilets and washroom facilities
• Emptying bins and managing waste and recycling
• Replenishing cleaning and hygiene supplies
• Ensuring cleaning is carried out in line with health and safety standards
• Reporting any maintenance or safety concerns to site staff

The Ideal Candidate:

Essential:

• Previous cleaning experience (school or commercial setting desirable)
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
• Reliable, punctual, and hard-working
• Good attention to detail
• Understanding of basic health and safety procedures

Desirable:

• Experience working within a school environment
• Knowledge of COSHH and safe use of cleaning products

Additional Information:

• An enhanced DBS check is required prior to starting
