Art Teacher

• Annual Salary: Equivalent to current M Scale

• Job Type: Full-time, 1-year contract

We are seeking an Art Teacher to join a supportive secondary school near Rhiwabon. This role involves teaching Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students. The school is known for its good behaviour and strong support systems, providing an excellent working environment for both staff and students.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Plan, prepare and deliver engaging and informative art lessons that meet the curriculum standards.
• Foster a creative learning environment and encourage students to express themselves through various art forms.
• Assess and review student progress and provide constructive feedback to promote development and learning.
• Collaborate with other teaching staff to integrate art into a broader curriculum.
• Participate in school events and activities related to the arts.
• Maintain classroom discipline, adhering to the school's policies and promoting good behaviour among students.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
• Proven experience in teaching Art at secondary school level (Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4).
• Strong understanding of the national curriculum for Art and Design.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to inspire and motivate young people.
• Creative and dynamic approach to teaching and curriculum planning.
