Unqualified Teaching Assistant - SEN / SEND Support (Rochdale)

£110 - £120 per day (depending on experience)

We are currently recruiting for a motivated and caring Unqualified Teaching Assistant to join a supportive SEND school in Rochdale. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to start or build a career in education, particularly within Special Educational Needs (SEN) support.

You will be working with pupils who have a range of needs including autism, ADHD, SEMH and behavioural challenges, supporting them to engage with learning and develop confidence in the classroom.

The role will involve:

• Supporting pupils with SEN on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
• Assisting the class teacher with daily classroom activities
• Helping manage behaviour and promoting positive learning attitudes
• Supporting pupils with emotional, social and academic development
• Encouraging engagement and independence in learning
• Creating a safe, supportive and inclusive classroom environment

What we're looking for:

• Experience working with children or young people (school, care, youth work, sports coaching, support work, etc.)
• A positive, patient and resilient attitude
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• A genuine interest in working within education and SEN
• Willingness to learn and develop on the job
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or happy to pay for a new one
