OverviewWe are seeking a highly skilled
Senior Mechanical Engineer – A&D to deliver best-practice mechanical engineering solutions for semiconductor manufacturing equipment.
You will play a key role in the technical delivery of mechanical design across subsystems and technology developments, ensuring robust engineering governance, compliance, and high-quality delivery across the full product lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
Technical Delivery & Engineering Leadership - Take responsibility for mechanical engineering delivery across projects and subsystems
- Lead and guide mechanical engineering activities within cross-functional project teams
- Provide technical expertise across product development and technology programmes
Engineering Standards & Governance - Promote and implement best-practice mechanical engineering approaches
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, regulatory, and industry standards
- Support effective technical governance across all engineering outputs
Project Delivery & Work Package Management - Support creation and delivery of engineering work packages across multi-disciplinary teams
- Guide projects through key milestones through to production readiness
- Ensure alignment to time, cost, quality, and specification requirements
Design Compliance & Risk Management - Ensure designs meet stakeholder and product requirements
- Apply structured design review and risk assessment techniques (e.g. FMEA, HAZOP, PHA, LOPA)
- Support compliance with relevant semiconductor and safety standards (e.g. SEMI S2, SEMI S10, EN standards)
Skills & Experience Required: - Degree in Mechanical Engineering (Bachelor’s essential, Master’s desirable)
- Working towards professional registration (desirable)
- Strong experience in mechanical design within a relevant engineering industry
- Strong knowledge of design for manufacture, cost, assembly, and maintainability
- Experience working in regulated, compliance-driven environments (desirable)
- Understanding of semiconductor manufacturing equipment industry standards (advantageous)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work collaboratively across multi-disciplinary engineering teams
- Commitment to ongoing professional development
