About the Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a passionate and creative Music and Drama Teacher to join a welcoming and forward-thinking school in Reading. This role is ideal for an inspiring educator who can engage students across Key Stages 3 and 4 (and potentially KS5), bringing both subjects to life through dynamic teaching and performance opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging and high-quality lessons in Music and Drama
• Inspire creativity, confidence, and self-expression in all students
• Plan and deliver a broad and balanced curriculum
• Organise and lead extracurricular activities, including school productions, performances, and clubs
• Monitor and track student progress, providing targeted support where needed
• Contribute to the wider life of the school and enrichment programme

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
• Experience teaching Music and/or Drama at secondary level
• Strong classroom management and communication skills
• A passion for the performing arts and student development
• The ability to motivate and inspire pupils of all abilities
• Willingness to contribute to school productions and events
