Supply Chain Assistant (Part-Time, Temp to Perm)

Location: Cirencester (office-based)
Hours: 20–32 hours per week (flexible)
Contract: Temporary to Permanent
Hourly rate: £13-15/hour

The Opportunity

We’re working with a well-established and growing business within the building services and supply sector, looking to hire a Supply Chain Assistant to support their procurement and operations team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to build a long-term career in supply chain or procurement, with clear progression opportunities into more senior buying roles over time.  There will also be potential for the role to become full time in the future if desired. 

The Role

As a Supply Chain Assistant, you’ll play a key role in supporting the smooth flow of products from suppliers through to customers. Working closely with the wider operations team, you’ll ensure stock availability, supplier coordination, and efficient order processing.

This is a varied, hands-on role ideal for someone who enjoys organisation, problem-solving, and working in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Raising and processing purchase orders
• Monitoring stock levels and supporting replenishment planning
• Liaising with suppliers to confirm lead times and manage deliveries
• Tracking orders and resolving any supply or delivery issues
• Maintaining accurate product and supplier data
• Supporting the warehouse and operations team with inbound deliveries
• Assisting with reporting, data analysis, and process improvements
• Providing general administrative support to the supply chain function

About You

• Previous experience in supply chain, procurement, logistics, or admin
• Highly organised with strong attention to detail
• Confident communicator, comfortable liaising with suppliers and colleagues
• Proactive and able to manage multiple tasks
• Good working knowledge of Excel and Microsoft Office
• Experience working in a product-based or distribution environment
