We are currently looking for a Commercial Manager to join our Building Team based in central London to perform commercial management or specialist commercial duties form commercial development projects typically in value between £100 and £300 million.

As the Commercial Manager, you will:

  • Ensure project scope, contractual notices, terms and conditions are clearly understood and effectively managed throughout delivery.
  • Administer the head contract robustly to secure Skanska's full contractual entitlement and minimise commercial risk.
  • Integrate cost plans and base data into commercial forecasting and reporting to support accurate financial control.
  • Lead the commercial strategy for contracted works, including procurement approach, package scope, quantification, tendering, negotiation and subcontract documentation.
  • Work collaboratively with designers, the supply chain and key stakeholders during design development to identify cost impacts and implement effective mitigation strategies.
  • Lead change management in line with the project strategy, covering client changes, design development, scope variations, instructions and programme changes.

We are looking for:

  • Ideally brings previous experience operating at Commercial Manager level on major construction projects between the value of £100 and £300 million.
  • Strong working knowledge of contract and commercial law, with the ability to apply this effectively in project delivery.
  • Proven experience contributing at a senior level within commercial or project leadership teams.
  • Degree qualified in a relevant discipline, with MRICS accreditation desirable.
  • Sound experience working with JCT forms of contract.
