Pontefract Area | Immediate Start

We are currently working in partnership with a welcoming and well-regarded primary school in the Pontefract area to recruit an experienced Year 3 Teacher for a full-time, long-term position, starting as soon as possible.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a confident and committed teacher who enjoys making a real difference in the classroom and wants the stability of a long-term role within a supportive school environment.

The Role

• Full responsibility for a Year 3 class, including planning, teaching and assessment
• Delivering engaging, high-quality lessons in line with the national curriculum
• Creating a positive, inclusive and well-managed classroom environment
• Working collaboratively with colleagues to support pupil progress and wellbeing
• Maintaining clear communication with parents and the wider school team

The Ideal Candidate

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised UK teaching qualification
• Proven experience teaching in Key Stage 2, ideally Year 3
• Strong classroom management skills and high expectations for pupil behaviour and achievement
• A professional, reliable and proactive approach to teaching
• Available to start immediately or at very short notice
