Assistant Management Accountant

Chalk Hill Group are exclusively recruiting on behalf of a leading construction business, based in Fareham, for an Assistant Management Accountant to join their busy finance team.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established business operating across a number of exciting projects - offering real scope for development and career progression within a growing group.

You’ll support the finance function and Finance Director by delivering accurate, timely financial information across the two main business units.

Key duties include:

  • Balance sheet reconciliations, accruals, prepayments & journals
  • Bank reconciliations and daily transaction monitoring
  • Cashflow forecasting (weekly & monthly)
  • Processing and validating supplier invoices (multi-site)
  • Sales ledger maintenance and invoicing
  • Supplier query resolution
  • Supporting audit processes
  • Ad hoc finance support as required

Our client are looking for a proactive, detail-focused team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment.

You’ll have:

  • Strong Excel and IT skills
  • Excellent communication and organisational ability
  • Confidence working independently and meeting deadlines
  • A positive, “can-do” attitude
  • AAT qualified or studying ACCA/CIMA
  • Experience in construction, property or housebuilding (desirable)
