The Opportunity We are partnering with a well-established self-storage company to recruit a confident, customer-focused Assistant Manager for their Southampton store. This is a permanent position offering stability, variety, and the chance to play a key role in the day-to-day running of the site.
In this role, you will report directly to the Store Manager, supporting them with customer service, sales, and operational responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
Customer support — welcoming customers, understanding their needs, and recommending suitable storage solutions
Sales growth — converting enquiries, following up leads, and helping the store achieve its targets
Store operations — ensuring units and communal areas are clean, secure, and ready for use
Administration — managing bookings, contracts, payments, and customer records
Manager support — assisting the Store Manager with reporting, site standards, and daily operations
What We’re Looking For
Confident, friendly communicator with strong customer-facing skills
Experience in retail, customer service, or sales
Highly organised with strong attention to detail
Proactive, hands-on approach to work
Comfortable working Monday–Friday with one weekend in every three
Able to work closely with and support the Store Manager
