FLT Reach & Counterbalance Driver – Wigan

People Solutions are currently recruiting for a FLT Reach & Counterbalance Driver – Wigan to join our well-established client based in Wigan.

This is a fantastic opportunity offering excellent rates of pay and ongoing work for the right candidate.

This role would also be suitable for applicants with experience as a:
• Reach Truck Driver
• Counterbalance Driver
• Forklift Truck Driver

Shifts

• Shifts will be scheduled between 04:00 – 20:00
• Flexibility is essential as weekends and bank holidays may be required

Rates of Pay

• £14.00 per hour

Day-to-Day Duties

Your duties as a FLT Reach & Counterbalance Driver will include, but are not limited to:

• Safely operating a Reach and Counterbalance FLT to load and unload trailers
• Moving stock from deliveries and preparing goods for despatch
• Completing pre-shift safety checks and required documentation
• Driving safely with consideration to load type, surface conditions, and surrounding environment
• Ensuring weight distribution is balanced across decks and axles
• Stacking and storing pallets efficiently while maintaining care and accuracy
• Reporting any damage to pallets, goods, or equipment immediately
• General warehouse duties including picking, loading, unloading and stock replenishment

Essential Skills

The essential skills required to be a FLT Reach & Counterbalance Driver are:

• A valid Reach and Counterbalance FLT licence (in-house licences accepted)
• A minimum of one year’s experience operating a Reach and Counterbalance FLT
• Strong attention to detail and awareness of health and safety procedures

Desirable Experience

• Previous warehouse or logistics experience

Training Provided

• Full site training with ongoing support throughout your assignment
